Permanent Brows FAQ’S
-
Yes, a touch-up is highly recommended.
After your initial brow session, your skin will go through a healing process. During this time, some areas may heal lighter or may not retain as much pigment, which is totally normal. That’s why we schedule a perfecting session (also called a touch-up) about 6 to 8 weeks after your first appointment.
This session allows us to:
Even out any areas that may have faded more than others
Adjust the shape, color, or intensity if needed
Ensure your brows are fully healed and flawless
After your touch-up, results typically last 1 to 3 years, and future touch-ups are only needed to maintain the color and shape over time.

✒️ 1. Microblading
Look: Individual hair-like strokes for a very natural, fluffy brow
Tool: Manual handheld blade
Best for: Normal to dry skin
Not ideal for: Oily, sensitive, or mature skin (can blur or fade unevenly)
Longevity: ~6-12 months
✅ Great if you want a natural, subtle look and have healthy, dry to normal skin
⚡ 2. Nano Strokes (Machine Hair Strokes)
Look: Very fine, crisp hair strokes (like microblading but more precise)
Tool: PMU machine with a single-needle configuration
Best for: All skin types, including oily and mature
Gentler on skin: Less trauma, better retention than microblading
Longevity: ~2-4 years or longer
✅ Ideal if you want the natural look of microblading with better longevity and healing
🎨 3. Ombre Powder Brows
Look: Soft, shaded powder effect—lighter at the front, darker at the tail (like a filled-in makeup look)
Tool: PMU machine using a pixelated shading technique
Best for: All skin types, especially oily or sensitive
Soft heals: Heals with a smooth, airbrushed finish
Longevity: ~2–3 years
✅ Perfect if you like the look of defined, fuller brows or wear makeup daily
🔄 4. Hybrid Brows (Microblading or Nano + Shading)
Look: Hair strokes at the front + soft shading toward the tail or a blended more realistic effect
Tool: Combination of manual blade or machine + PMU machine shading
Best for: Clients who want the best of both worlds
Longevity: ~up to 2-4 years
✅ Ideal if you want a natural front with more definition and density toward the arch and tail

✨ How to Choose the Right Brow Technique for You
The best technique depends on your skin type, lifestyle, desired look, and how natural or defined you want your brows to be. Here’s a quick breakdown to help guide your choice:
1. Skin Type Matters
Oily or mature skin? 👉 Ombre powder brows or nano strokes are best—they’re gentler and heal better.
Normal to dry skin? 👉 Microblading or nano strokes both work well.
2. Desired Look
Soft & filled-in (like makeup)? 👉 Ombre powder brows
Natural hair-like strokes? 👉 Nano brows or microblading
The most realistic & long-lasting strokes? 👉 Nano brows
3. Lifestyle
Active lifestyle or wear makeup daily? 👉 Ombre powder brows hold up better with sweat and time.
Minimalist look or very natural aesthetic? 👉 Nano strokes or microblading
4. Longevity & Skin Sensitivity
Nano and ombre techniques tend to last longer and fade more gracefully, especially for sensitive or oily skin.
Microblading may need more frequent touch-ups and can blur faster on certain skin types.

💬 Will It Hurt?
Most clients say the discomfort is very minimal or none at all—especially because I use a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable the whole time.
🧴 What to expect:
You may feel a light scratching or pressure sensation
Some clients even doze off during the process!
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most are surprised by how tolerable and gentle the process is
If you’re nervous about pain, let me know—your comfort is my priority, and I can adjust everything to make sure you feel at ease the entire time.

💡 Nano Strokes vs. Microblading Strokes
Both nano and microblading create hair-like strokes to mimic natural brow hairs—but they differ in tools, technique, and skin impact.
✒️ Microblading:
Tool: Manual hand tool with a tiny blade
Technique: The artist creates small cuts in the skin and implants pigment into them
Look: Realistic hair-like strokes
Skin Impact: Slightly more invasive, can cause more trauma—especially to sensitive or oily skin
Best for: Normal to dry skin types
Fades Faster: Often fades or blurs more quickly over time lasting up to 6 months to a year
⚡ Nano Strokes:
Tool: A digital machine with a single fine needle
Technique: Uses tiny, controlled machine movements to implant pigment in the shape of hair strokes (no cutting)
Look: Ultra-crisp, natural more realistic strokes with more control
Skin Impact: Less trauma to the skin; gentler and more precise
Best for: All skin types, including oily or mature skin
Longer-Lasting: Strokes tend to hold their shape and color longer up to 2-4 yrs
✅ Quick Summary:
Microblading is best if your looking for something very soft and not so long lasting but comes with more cons depending on skin type/condition. Nano if your wanting something more realistic and longer lasting results.

Yes — when done by a trained, certified, and licensed professional, permanent makeup is very safe.
At my clinic, I follow strict health and safety protocols to protect you every step of the way. That includes:
🧼 Hygiene & Safety Practices:
All tools are single-use and disposable or completely sterilized
I use high-quality, hypoallergenic pigments made for cosmetic tattooing
The entire procedure is done in a clean, professional environment
We go over your health history and any contraindications before your appointment
⚠️ Who should avoid PMU?
PMU is generally safe, but it’s not recommended if you're:
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Undergoing chemotherapy
Have certain autoimmune or skin conditions (consult your doctor first)
-
No — it is not recommended.
Here’s why:
🔸 During Pregnancy:
Your body is more sensitive, and you may experience increased pain or swelling
There's a higher risk of infection or allergic reaction, which could affect both you and your baby
Most professionals avoid PMU during pregnancy out of an abundance of caution and to protect your health and your baby’s
🔸 While Breastfeeding:
Although the pigment itself stays mostly local, the body is still in a vulnerable, healing state
If any infection or complication arises, you may need medications that aren’t safe while nursing
There’s limited research on how topical numbing agents may affect breastmilk, so it’s best to wait
✅ When should I get PMU?
Once you are completely done breastfeeding, your hormones begin to stabilize again, making it the safest time to receive permanent makeup and get the best healed results

This part of the process is all about customization — no cookie-cutter brows here! I take your unique features and preferences into account to create brows that enhance your natural beauty and suit your lifestyle.
🔹 SHAPE – Customized to Your Face
I use a technique called brow mapping to design a shape that complements your:
Bone structure
Natural brow growth
Facial symmetry
Eye shape and placement
We’ll pre-draw the shape with a pencil first so you can see and approve it before anything permanent is done. We won’t move forward until you’re 100% happy with it!
🔹 COLOR – Based on Your Skin & Hair Tone
I choose pigment based on:
Your natural brow hair color
Your skin undertone (cool, warm, or neutral)
Whether you want a soft, natural look or something more defined
Pigments are custom-blended if needed, and I always aim for a shade that will heal beautifully and naturally over time.
🤝 It’s a collaboration
You’ll be involved in every step! I’ll make professional recommendations, but we’ll decide together what looks and feels best for you.

💬 Totally Understandable — and You’re Not Alone!
It’s super common to feel nervous before your appointment, especially if you’ve seen outdated or harsh brow tattoos in the past. But the good news is: modern permanent makeup is nothing like that.
🌿 Here’s Why You Don’t Have to Worry:
✅ Soft & Natural Techniques
Today’s techniques—like nano strokes and ombré powder brows—are designed to create soft, natural-looking results, not harsh, solid blocks of color.
✅ Customized for Your Face
We’ll map and pre-draw your brows first, so you can see and approve the shape before anything begins. You’re part of every decision.
✅ Color Selection Matters
I use custom-matched pigments that complement your natural tones—no harsh blacks or ink that turn blue over time. These are cosmetic pigments designed to fade softly, not look like body tattoos.
✅ They Heal Softer Than Day 1
Your brows will look bolder the first few days (this is normal), but they fade about 30–40% during healing into a much softer, more natural finish.
🌟 You're in good hands
My priority is to give you brows that enhance—not overpower—your features. You’ll walk out looking like the best version of yourself, not like you had your brows tattooed on.
